"is the bible the authority in our life or are we?' It is the wrong question. We miss the point of trusting God. So, I ask it of myself and those who have been given to me... are you trusting in God or man... I even go as far to say... are you trusting God or the bible. And I understand that some find Him in the clouds and some find Him in the creed... which is okay, as long as it is Him we are seeking. Our destination is not the revelations of others... but to hear His voice. Of all the gifts talked about in the bible... the one we need is the gift of hearing. It reminds me of the verse about in the beginning was the word... to me it seems clear the bible came after the beginning, so the Word=God... so that Father is the Word. Even as a child I thought... 'Oh... that's why that capitalize the 'W" in word... it's a proper name because it identifies God as a person that we call the Word". Inspired word (lowercase) to me has always been the small part of Word that Father speaks to our heart that gives us not only inspiration, but life. It might be something He speaks to us as simple as... "Ryan? How will you know Me?". He is wisdom but He asks questions and He never tells us a lie. I can know Him like Paul or David... or I can know Him like He has revealed Himself to me. I can know Him by the Spirt. I can't give you a chapter or verse for "Ryan? How will you know Me?' because it came directly on night as I lay my head in my pillow and I know it sound cliche but then His presence flowed though me like electricity... that the best why I can describe it. It was certainly a defining moment in my spiritual growth. It got me focused on Him like nothing else could. So, I guess my question to others would be... do you want to grow? Then hear with you heart what the Spirit of the Father has to say. August 17, 2010 @ 3:10 PM 2. Livia wrote: Pheonmeanl breakdown of the topic, you should write for me too!
